Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia (www.micarmenia.com) in partnership with Sourcio CJSC (www.sourcio.com) and SFL LLC (www.sflpro.com) launch a summer internship scheme that will start on 15 June 2012. The internship scheme aims to help enthusiastic students/graduates and young specialists gain state-of-the-art techniques and knowledge in programming and develop essential practical skills within a short period of time, work over real-life web projects and innovative programming solutions and upon successful completion get employment opportunity from the mentioned companies.

Within the internship, the students who will be fully involved in the project will form teams composed of 4-7 members and supervised by proficient team leaders who will manage the interns’ performance, provide professional support and track their professional growth. Along with the project development, the interns will participate in intensive training courses on .NET which includes such topics as Object-Oriented programming, Windows Forms and WPF, ADO.NET and ASP.NET (including basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) and MS SQL Server and simultaneously work over real-life web projects to apply the newly gained knowledge in practice. Within the internship, the trainees will pass a Microsoft Technology Associate exam (Software Development Fundamentals) thus becoming a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). Upon successful completion, the outstanding students will conclude an employment agreement for 1 (one) year with Sourcio CJSC or SFL LLC.

Who Can Apply?
 

Higher educational institution students and/or graduates specialized on computer sciences, applied and actuary mathematics, who have

• Basic knowledge of programming language (C++/C# programming languages),
• Algorithmic thinking,
• Intermediate level of English,
• At least one year working availability if provided the employment opportunity.

Selection Criteria

The selection will be made on a competitive basis. In the first stage, the applicants will sit a test assessing the applicants’ programming knowledge. The shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview during which the internship trainees will be selected.

Internship Cost

Internship cost is 400 000 AMD which can be paid lump-sum or by monthly allocation per applicants’ decision. The applicants demonstrating the best results will be awarded with up to 80% scholarship and get employment offer from the mentioned companies.

15 June 2012 – 31 August 2012

Additional information

A three-side agreement will be signed among the outstanding interns, MIC and the employer stipulating the intern’s willingness to duly participate in the internship scheme and liability to accept the employment offer with a term of one year upon internship completion.
