On 31 March 2011, Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia organized “Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007” workshop delivered by Davit Kocharyan, CEO at “developWay” CJSC. It was the first learning event in the new premises of Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia.

The participants represented various businesses, governmental agencies and educational institutions. The workshop covered the core features of Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 in improving business processes, successful experience of internationally acknowledged and local corporations, such as Sony, Bank of America, Сoca Cola Enterprise, MTV, Central Bank of Armenia, Microsoft, Armenia.

To demonstrate the SharePoint functionality, Davit Kocharyan presented the Microsoft Learning Gateway portal developed on the SharePoint framework. As he mentioned, the main advantage of SharePoint is that it is accessible for users with basic IT literacy enabling to design and maintain content management, CRM, internal workflow, etc.

Executive of Microsoft Office Representative in Armenia, Mr. Grigor Barseghyan presented the business component of SharePoint and license acquisition procedure.

The lively and interactive environment of the workshop engaged all the participants in joint discussions and Q&A session.

As Yeva Hyusyan Project Manager of MIC Armenia remarked, similar events and initiatives will be arranged on a regular basis involving IT professionals and beginners meeting the demands and core trends of constantly shifting market.
